Questions about Ajax
Do I need a permit to put a bin on the street in Ajax?
Driveway placement in Ajax never needs a permit, and every load goes to a licensed disposal facility either way. Placement on the road needs a permit from the Town of Ajax.
What costs extra in Ajax?
The quoted price covers the included weight, days, one material and the extended-area delivery fee shown in your quote. Anything extra after that is billed after pickup.
Is there a winter restriction on street bins in Ajax?
Yes - By-law 48-2025 restricts a bin on the road or boulevard over the winter months.
Do I need a permit for an Ajax street or boulevard bin?
Yes - Town of Ajax charges its own permit fee, separate from MTF. Most Ajax jobs use the driveway instead, where none applies.
Which Ajax neighbourhoods does MTF serve?
South Ajax, Central Ajax and Northeast Ajax and the rest of Ajax. Extended area - a delivery fee applies outside our main service area, shown in full in your Ajax quote before you pay.
